One of the must-do when you come to France is to visit Reims. 1h30 far from Paris, it is the capital of Champagne region. The cities of Reims and Epernay are the mother cities of Champagne wine.
Reims...coronation city where most of the French Kings were sacred. You will discover this lovely city and its marvels, such the Reims Cathedral
After the visit of the Cathedral it will be time or lunch, taken to the lovely Place Drouet d'Erlon, you could find all kind of food wished.
You will also have all the time needed to walk around Reims, and make some shopping.
In the afternoon we will continue our visit with the world-famous Moet et Chandon cellar.
A guided visit of the cellars is very interesting and instructive, for Champagne's lovers. Of course there will be a tasting of their wonderful wine at the end of the visit, and you could buy some bottles, much more cheaper that you do in your homeland.
Far from touristic roads, I encourage people to visit a local winegrower, that makes his own Champagne. Little local producers are alwsays ready to share their knowledge, and they are very passionate.
It is much more agreeable, to make a visit with all your time. Once we finish our visit, we will drive back to Paris, in a complete peace of mind !
